SUMMARY OF POSITION
Relevant opportunity for a dynamic person to join a cable manufacturing company located in Anaheim, CA. as Quality Assurance Engineer Junior. The primary functions of the QA Engineer Jr. are: a) address the quality rejections and complaints from customers, thru the analysis of the issues reported, the implementation of containment actions, determination of disposition and the coordination and execution of RCA to avoid recurrence, involving all parties required; b) support on the implementation and maintenance of corresponding testing methods to assure the compliance of the product per customer’s specifications; d) support on the development of training material and provide training in relation with Quality Control functions; e) analyze levels and trends of internal and external quality to promote the improvement; g) support documental requirements (i.e. CoCs) per customer needs.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:
• Support the determination and search of new testing and measuring devices required.
• Participate in the review and understanding of quality control requirements based on customer’s documents as well applicable industry standards, to implement the processes required to ensure the quality of products at the first time.
• Create and update of the Customer’s Specifications for First Article and Inspection Reports, based on new customers and updated needs of existing customers, assuring its proper documentation and communication to the involved personnel, based on the request of the QA Manager.
• Create and update Customer’s Certificates of Compliance, based on their requirements, assuring the proper documentation and communication to the required personnel, based on the request of the QA Manager.
• To create / update the required Functional Test Reports (FTR) forms per customer’s specifications & testing requirements.
• Support the correct and on time generation of standard test programs / instructions to assure the quality of the product tested by QA Technicians, to detect non-conforming product, and preventing escapes to the customer, and allow the flow of production with no delay, helping to the delivery on time of shipments, and if required, takeover and elaborate complex test programs and test instructions.
• Develop and deliver the specifications for the creation of new test fixtures required for the product testing (as well other testing/inspection activities), including activities such as placing stock / purchase orders requests of materials required, assuring the determination of the No Recurrent Engineering cost and coverage, and the request of construction of them.
• Support on the develop and deliver visual aids for functions such as In-Process Inspection, Product Testing and/or Final Inspection, when due to the complexity of product or other conditions, is required for the detection of non-conforming product.
• Support on the develop and review training material related with the functions of inspection and testing of product, as well, the usage of testing and measuring devices, to assure the proper usage of them, the accurate testing or measuring of product and its characteristics, the prevent damage on equipment and personnel injuries.
• Participate as an internal trainer in different topics as required.
• Participate in activities related with customer’s complains, rejections and reworks, including the internal recalls, providing an effective, efficient, and prompt response to the customers. This includes function such as:
o Support on the coordination / execution of applicable containment actions on finished product as well components (if applicable)
o Support on the create and communicate Quality Alerts, including to / from other sites.
o Support on the performing of failure analysis on the defective parts returned and/or the documental review of quality records to determine the presence of a defective condition, and if the case, the determination of the responsibility on the defective condition, documenting properly the findings and results.
• Perform the control of Stamps assigned to the personnel and the annual audit of them.
• Participate on the review / improvement of test and inspection methods and equipment to assure compliance of products per customer specifications, as well the optimization of methods and systems for the performance of product testing and inspection, including the automatization of records.
• Support QC functions / personnel performing the troubleshooting on non-conforming product / material, to determine the presence of defect, the acceptance or rejection condition of the product/material.
• Maintain good communication with the QA Manager and QA Engineers to address and escalate on a timely manner, if required, any issues that may arise during shift period.
• Participate on the execution/control of strategic projects, as required.
• Follow the Employee, Safety and all Rapid Manufacturing polices, always and assure that personnel assigned comply with it.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Expertise:
• Able to use properly calipers, rulers, measuring tapes, go-no go gauges (i.e., internal diameter gauges), pull testers, hardness testers, terminal retention testers, microscope, and scales.
• Able to use and read the English System and the International System of Units (formerly Metric System of Units) for measuring product, including conversions among them.
• Able to read Engineering Drawings, BOMs and material specifications.
• Able to use properly electrical/electronic (and mechanical/pneumatic) test devices such as multimeter, automatic electronic testers, air pressure testers, data transmission testers, high impedance testers, and others.
• Able to use and read the English System and the International System of Units (formerly metric system) for measuring product, including conversions among them.
• Use of PC: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other transactional systems (ERP Systems) and knowledge of use of internet (surfing).

Qualifications:
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering or similar (i.e., digital communications).
• No experience in industry required (experience in Electrical/Electronic assembly, production, or inspection a plus).
• Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. lawful permanent resident (“green card” holder).
