SUMMARY OF POSITION
Excellent opportunity for a dynamic person to join a cable manufacturing company as a Manufacturing Engineer Jr. The successful candidate will apply industrial, finance, cost accountant, and/or mechanical engineering techniques in the estimation of the manufacturing cost and price definition of a given cable assembly. Interacts with other manufacturing engineers to develop work instructions and provides support to manufacturing operations.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:
• Prepares cost estimates for new bids, assembly changes utilizing basic engineering data, drawings, customer specifications and related information.
• Work collaboratively with sales, purchasing, and engineering to ensure quoting/project deadlines are met.
• Provides technical support to Account Managers and Business Development Managers (Sales)
• Participates in the implementation of Engineering Change Notices (ECN’s) and work instructions and share them to the appropriate departments.
• Experience with IPC 620 (a plus).
• Assure procedures and documents are within compliance of ISO-9001Use of PC:
• Review of product design drawings
• Prepare labor, material, tooling and equipment cost estimates for proposals
• Participates in time and motion studies
• Participate and suggest cost reduction and process improvement initiatives
• Work with design engineering to improve the manufacturability of our products
• Implement the manufacture of new products or product lines with the emphasis on using the safest, most efficient process and lean manufacturing design
• Support and lead continuous improvement efforts within and outside the responsible department
• Effective in working both independently and in team settings.
• Flexible and adaptable to company’s changes and needs.
• Achieve activities / responsibilities in time, with the highest quality and efficiency.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Expertise/Skills:
• Minimum 1 year to three years of experience in manufacturing cable assemblies or in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 1 – 3 years experience in pricing and revenue management
• Raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
• Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

Education / Experience:
• Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Finance or Cost Accountant
• Spanish is a plus.

$70,000 – $75,000 DOE
